As the sun sets, and the clouds become shadows,

so too do friendships rise and fall;

but as always,

the sun rises on another day.

And while these purple-black bruises

Known as clouds hide the sun,

and as the last orange and gold beams sink ‘neath fading sky;

A certainty remains;

one of glowing moons brightening darkening sky;

and twinkling stars piercing with diamond brightness.
